In this update, we have information on community title laws approved by Parliament, and updates relating to the new NSW Participation Rules and Operating Requirements effective 12 April 2021. You will also find the latest guidance from the Australian Registrars' National Electronic Conveyancing Council (ARNECC), and updates from NSW Land Registry Services (NSW LRS). Public consultation on the review of the laws affecting strata schemes closed earlier this month. Thank you for your comments, which we are reviewing. Another milestone in the transition to 100% electronic conveyancing was reached with introduction of the Real Property Amendment (Certificates of Title) Bill, to Parliament. The Bill will abolish certificates of title and make changes to the requirements for CoRD consent. The Bill passed the Legislative Assembly on 24 March 2021 and should be introduced into the Legislative Council in May. We will continue to update industry and consult on implementation of the reforms, which should see the cancellation of paper titles by the end of 2021.
