Après Freycinet

Thank you for attending the fabulous Freycinet Suite Recital on Sunday.
The State Library Western Australia Foundation was delighted to welcome you and  to share this world premiere event.

This event would not have happened without the generous support of our presenting partner: the State Library of Western Australia, our event partners: The Department of Culture and the Arts and Lotterywest, our program partners, UWA Australian Research Council History of Emotions and especially our venue partner, Government House Foundation.  Thank you again for your support and encouragement.

I would like to acknowledge all the volunteers who contributed to the success of the event. Thank you to Frances Hammond, Annette Del Bianco, Ann Watt, Diana Baldrey, Anthea Lowe, Norm Chapple, Phil McGuire, Norm Greenhalgh. Additionally thank you to all the State Library staff who helped make the afternoon extra special.

We have included a small album of images from the afternoon for your pleasure.

The Exhibition

The State Library Foundation would like to thank the State Library for the temporary exhibition of the valuable Freycinet Collection on Sunday.  The amazing Swan River map always evokes interest and Paul Gaimard's journal has given us an alternative insight into the Freycinet journey and camp at Shark Bay.

We invite you to continue your exploration of the story online at the award winning virtual exhibition freycinet.org.au

The Library Shop

The merchandise on sale attracted a lot of interest and was chosen especially to fit with the Freycinet themes of travel, natural environment and Freycinet itself. These items are available from the State Library Shop and you can purchase in person or by mail.
