Osmo, a Cambridge, Mass.-based startup that is digitizing smell for the early detection of disease, among other things, fetched $60 million in Series A funding. Co-led by Lux Capital and GV, the round included additional support from Arena Holdings, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Moore Strategic Ventures, Exor Ventures, Two Sigma Ventures and Amazon’s Alexa Fund. Josh Wolfe, co-founder of Lux Capital, will join the company’s board.
Angle Health, a health insurance startup, landed $58 million in Series A funding. Portage led the round, which included participation from PruVen Capital, Wing Venture Capital, SixThirty Ventures, Mighty Capital, Wormhole Capital, Mindset Ventures, Crew Capital, Aloft VC, Blumberg Capital, Correlation Ventures, TSVC and Y Combinator.
Precision Neuroscience Corp., a New York-based startup developing implants for the treatment of neurological illnesses, secured $41 million in Series B financing. Lead investor Forepont Capital Partners was joined by Mubadala Capital, Draper Associates, Alumni Ventures, re.Mind Capital, Steadview Capital and B Capital Group in the round.
Atomic AI, an RNA drug discovery startup, raised $35 million in Series A funding. Playground Global led the investment, which included contributions from 8VC, AME Cloud Ventures and others.
Miach Orthopaedics Inc., a Westborough, Mass.-based developer of surgical implants for connective tissue restoration, snagged $30 million in Series B equity and signed a $10 million venture debt term sheet with Silicon Valley Bank. Sectoral Asset Management and Endeavour Vision led the equity portion, which saw additional participation from Amzak Health, Smith+Nephew, DSM Venturing and the NFL Players Association.
Elo, a San Francisco-based personalized daily nutrition startup, grabbed a $10 million Series A investment. Led by Octopus Ventures, the round included support from Will Ventures and Gullspang Re:Food.
Journey Clinical, a New York-based psychedelic therapy startup, scored an $8.5 million Series A round. Union Square Ventures led the investment, which saw participation from AlleyCorp, Fifty Years, Able Partners, Gaingels, Palo Santo, PsyMed Ventures, Coalition Operators, Mystic Ventures, Satori Capital and others.
Oneleaf, a Paris-based self-hypnosis startup, raised $5.1 million in pre-seed financing. Lead investor Frst was joined by Kima Ventures and Raise Ventures in the round.
