NNYLN Fall Meeting October 2, 2015

The NNYLN Fall Meeting will be held at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel in Clayton, NY on October 2, 2015.

The morning will consist of short presentations by awardees of the Technology Service Improvement Grants and the Professional Development Grants.

The Technology Service Improvement Grants that will be presented are: the Digitization of the Gar Wood Collection, Audio Services for Libraries, New Technology for Improved User Experience, Automated Steering Surmounts the Learning Curve, The Digitization of NCCC Historical Material, Early Literacy Stations for the Children's Room, Remote Catalog Stations Project, Digitzation of the Kollecker Film Collection, Partial Digitizing of the Hand-Weaving Collections, and Building a Scholarly Publishing Infrastructure.

In addition to these programs, Professional Development Grant awardees will present on the 2015 ALA Annual Conference, the 2015 Library Technology Conference, the Polaris Conference, and the IDS Conference.

I2NY Final Report and Executive Summary Available

I2NY -- Information Infrastructure for New York -- is an endeavor, led by the NY 3Rs Association, Inc, which brings together leaders from the library, archival and cultural heritage communities with a desired outcome of a strengthened infrastructure for the creation, dissemination, and storage of information throughout the State.

In May 2015, 70 library and archives directors and thought leaders met in Saratoga Springs, New York to review and assess accomplishments of the groups that had been working on the 6 priorities developed at the I2NY Summit 2012.
