Executive Headteacher: Mr Peter Hyman Middle School NewsletterDates For Your DiaryMonday 22nd January: Yr 7 iPads go live in lesson Notices*Water bottles in school - Please make sure that your child has a water (filled only with water) bottle in school. *Walking Home Alone - If your child walks home alone, please make sure that they use a safe, well lit and busy route. They should not be walking through the park alone and if possible, walk home with a friend. Below is a link to the NSPCC website with more information. https://www.nspcc.org.uk/services-and-resources/research-and-resources/2015/out-alone/ *School Uniform - Please make sure that your child has the correct uniform, which includes no trainers. P.E. Kit - Your child needs to have the correct School 21 PE kit on PE days. *We are disappointed to say that despite several notices, some of our parents are still not following the "no parking" zig-zag signs outside the school premises. We are now in the process of working with the local authority to ensure that parking laws are adhered to. Parking illegally causes a health and safety hazard for our parents and especially our children. Please keep them safe! *Children (and parents/carers) MUST NOT ride scooters on school premises. This poses a threat for themselves and for parents and children in the area. *Parents please ensure your child comes into school with all the equipment and food they will need for the day. The front office will not be responsible for taking things to classroom as this is disruptive to children's learning. Dear Parents and GuardiansI wanted to firstly congratulate the Middle School on continuing a wonderful start to the term. As I walk around the school observing the tone of the learning I sense a real maturity with Year 5. It is a joy to see them stepping up and maturing their thinking and relationships. There is a growing love of learning now strong and solid and I look forward to watching their beautiful work unfold this term. Year 7 have now began their ignite project and the buzz and energy from them on a Wednesday is a real testament to their passion as a year group. They are excited about the chance of stepping up and finding their voice and I feel this year's ignite is going to be really special.
