Strathfield Christmas Carols is on this Saturday 10 December! Join us for carols, face painting, a petting zoo, fireworks and a special movie screening of The Good Dinosaur (PG). Be sure to bring a present for the Salvation Army’s Christmas Toy Appeal.

A spectacular fireworks display will conclude the night, delighting the young and old and ensuring your family leaves filled with the Christmas Spirit!

Mosman Council briefly appeared in the Court of Appeal on 7 December 2016 in relation to its appeal of the original judgement by His Honour Justice Moore in relation to amalgamation. A hearing date has been set for 3 and 4 April 2017 for their appeal.

Strathfield Council continues to review its legal options in light of these new developments.

The Strathfield Town Centre redevelopment is almost complete. The paving has been finished and the installation of catenary lighting is underway.  It won’t be long until the space is re-opened and residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the fresh look as well as the brilliant Christmas tree!

Hudson Park

Hudson Park Driving Range is currently undergoing levelling and turfing works and is due to re-open on Monday 2 January. The below picture is of the park in 1960, prior to its redevelopment as a golf course. The land on which Hudson Park is located was once part of Rookwood Cemetery but was isolated when the goods railway was built in 1916.  After much lobbying by Strathfield Council to the NSW Government, Hudson Park formally transferred to Council control and later Hudson Oval and Hudson Golf Course were developed.
