Find out more about pension auto-enrolment

The Pensions Regulator Logo

The law on workplace pensions has changed. All employers are legally required to automatically enrol certain staff into a pension scheme and make contributions, even if you employ just one person. You will also have to tell your staff about the scheme you put them in and allow other staff to join if they request to do so.

Following on from our pension auto-enrolment seminar earlier this year, DRG are delighted to be sponsoring this forthcoming event organised by the Maidenhead Chamber of Commerce. Nish Jayani, from The Pension Regulator, will outline who is affected, what you need to know and what you need to do.

Date: Thursday, 1st October
Time: 17.45 - 19.30
Venue: DRG Maidenhead office.

The seminar is complimentary, but please click here to reserve your place.

Increased IHT Nil Rate Band for Main Residences

Susan Clark, Tax Manager DRG

Susan Clark, Tax Manager at DRG Chartered Accountants outlines the impact of the Summer Budget on Inheritance Tax (IHT) nil rate bands for main residences.

The Chancellor announced in July that an additional IHT nil rate band would be introduced when a residence is passed on death to one or more direct descendants. As well as children, these can include a stepchild, adopted or foster child. Unfortunately, where there are no children or grandchildren, the relief will not apply. Read more.
