ActiveCampaign, a Chicago-based customer experience automation provider, scored a $100 million Series B growth round. Susquehanna Growth Equity led the investment, with Partner Martin Angert joining the company’s board. Silversmith Capital Partners also participated in the round.
Justworks Inc., a New York-based provider of human-resources software, closed a $50 million Series E round of funding. Union Square Ventures and FirstMark Capital led the financing, and were joined by existing investors including Bain Capital Ventures, Index Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, Spark Capital and Thrive Capital.
Securiti.ai, a San Jose, Calif.-based PrivacyOps and data security automation provider, raised $50 million in Series B funding. General Catalyst led the round, with participation from Mayfield.
Bizongo, a Mumbai-based business-to-business marketplace for packaging, secured a $30 million Series C investment. Hedge fund Schroder Adveq led the round, with contributions from B Capital, Accel, Chiratae Ventures and International Finance Corp.
AeroAggregates of North America LLC, an Eddystone, Pa.-based manufacturer of ultra‐lightweight foamed glass aggregate for use primarily in the infrastructure, construction and geotechnical engineering industries, completed a $24 million growth equity investment from Valterra Partners.
Frontify, a Swiss brand management platform, picked up a $22.3 million Series B investment. EQT Ventures led the round, with participation from existing investors including Blossom Capital, Datartis Ventures and Tenderloin Ventures.
Directly, a San Francisco-based customer experience automation startup, collected $20 million in new funding. New investors Samsung NEXT, Industry Ventures and AvidBank joined existing investors M12, Costanoa Ventures, True Ventures and Northgate in the round. The company also promoted Mike de la Cruz to chief executive from chief business officer. He was previously senior vice president of customer relationship management at SAP.
IDbyDNA Inc., a San Francisco-based genetic discovery and disease detection startup, nabbed a $20 million Series B round. Artis Ventures led the investment, and was joined by Genesys Capital and others.
Advano, a New Orleans-based startup whose silicon technology improves the battery life of rechargeable batteries, emerged from stealth with an $18.5 million Series A round. Mitsui Kinzoku SBI Material Innovation Fund, Future Shape and PeopleFund led the investment, which included participation from Thiel Capital, DCVC, Y Combinator and others. Additionally, John S. Foster was appointed president and chief operating officer of Advano. He was previously co-founder and chief executive of Owl Biomedical Inc.
Bond, a New York-based startup that manages product delivery and returns for online retailers, raised a $15 million funding round from Lightspeed Venture Partners, MizMaa Ventures, TLV Partners, Affirm and Verishop.
Wheel, an Austin, Texas-based virtual-care startup, launched with a $13.9 million Series A round of financing. CRV led the funding, with Tusk Venture Partners and Silverton Partners also participating.
P2 Science Inc., a Woodbridge, Conn.-based renewable specialty chemicals company, closed a $12 million Series C round. HG Ventures and Chanel led the investment, which included participation from Safermade, Xeraya Capital, BASF Venture Capital, Elm Street Ventures, Connecticut Innovations and Ironwood Capital Connecticut. Kip Frey, managing director of HG Ventures, will join the board.
Aumni Inc., robotic process automation and data analytics platform for private capital investors, snagged $10 million in Series A funding led by SVB Financial Group. Previous backers Moneta Ventures, Next Frontier Capital and Quiet Ventures also participated, along with new investors Kickstart Seed Fund, Blackhorn Ventures, Prelude and Service Provider Capital.
AppOmni, a San Francisco-based software-as-a-service security and management platform, fetched $10 million in Series A financing led by ClearSky. New investor Inner Loop Capital contributed to the round, along with existing backers including Costanoa Ventures and Silicon Valley Data Capital.
