Family Fun Night
What a great turnout last night for our Family Fun Night. It was pleasing to see so many families relaxing and enjoying the lovely evening.
Rutherford Art
Rutherford students have started looking at the artworks of Alberto Giacometti a famous artist known for creating sculptures of the human form depicting his perspective of human anatomy. Many of his sculptural pieces have elongated limbs.
The students have been developing their ideas using sketching skills. Here are some examples of their sketches focusing on the draping of fabric illustrating the areas of shading and contrast.
Hillary
In Hillary we have been looking at ways we can be more responsible for getting ready in the mornings in our classroom. We need to hang our bags up, put our book bag in our chairbag and organise our belongings in the morning independently. This is how we can help get ready for school. Then we can sign in because we are ready
Piwakawaka Year 0 - 4 Swim Fun Day
We will be holding our annual swimming event for the year 0 - 4 students in Blake, Hillary and Taylor rooms on Thursday 28th February. There will be more details to follow next week.
Music Lessons
Music lessons for piano/keyboard are available at school. If your child is keen to take up this opportunity, please call Kathryn Ganter on 0272487752. Teacher of piano/keyboard, saxophone, flute and clarinet.
