Are you all in?! Each year Fleet Feet hosts an annual conference in various corners of the country, and I have the opportunity to take some of my staff with me to learn more ways to help you live a healthy, active lifestyle. Each year we have a different theme that drive much of the focus of the conference, and as you might have already guessed this year's them is "All In."As I'm writing this from Pinehurst, NC I can't help but be excited to bring back a few nuggets to help you on your journey. The energy here is absolutely contagious. The challenge to us is to be all in. All in on developing our staff. All in on being the best we can be for our families. All in on creating pathways to healthy lifestyles. All in on supporting you! I'm all in. I'm all in on providing an amazing life for my amazing daughter Harper and beautiful, supportive wife Jacqueline. I'm all in on supporting my staff, and allowing them to play an active role in building our community. I'm all in on finding new, exciting ways to get more people out and moving. All of this, also reminds me to be all in when it comes to my own training. And I'm there. I'm all in. There is no other way. So, my challenge to you... Are you ready to be all in?! Are you ready to give your all? Are your ready to discover that you are stronger than you ever thought possible. You have a long season of training ahead of you. But more importantly, this journey will slowly become something that reshapes who you are, and how you think of yourself, and possibly how others see you. It's time to be all in. You're going to inspire others to followi in your footsteps. There is no other way than to be all in. This Saturday the mileage goes up, as it will over the next four months. You can do this. You will do this. You need to be all in. Once you're there, nothing will hold you back. I'll see you Saturday, and I expect you to be all in! Change your life. One mile at a time. Worx Fit Focus Modified Windmill Tight hamstrings? Grumpy low back? Try this modified windmill to help increase hip mobility while engaging your core and activating your glutes! Start with feet comfortably wide, core engaged. Raise one arm toward the ceiling (add a weight for increased intensitity), the other arm will reach to the opposite foot while keeping your legs as straight as possible, performing a windmill with your body. Concentrate on squeezing your glutes as you rise back to the start position. Repeat 5x, slowly each side. Increase intensity with a kettle bell, looking up towards the kb as you twist down - this will challenge the shoulder stabilizers and core!!
