The IIC Yearbook 2017: another good reason to join The IIC yearbook summarises the outputs from our international meetings and takes a look at what’s coming over the horizon. It is available exclusively to members. Digital transformation in the American markets This month we have been in Miami for the second of our TMF and regulators’ meetings this year. Smart Cars: Connected Thinking The newly formed IIC Brussels chapter held its inaugural meeting last month. The first in the series on smart cars, it focussed on investment for the future and the issues around transmission of real time data. IIC Australia In partnership with CAMLA, IIC Australia, with the help of lawyers, Ashurst, facilitated a meeting which resulted in the ACMA and the CRTC drawing up an MoU that will help both agencies keep innovating in the battle to reduce the threat that unsolicited marketing messages can pose. Divisions open up over Europe’s e-Privacy law EU member states are at odds with the European Commission (EC) over an extension to privacy legislation for communications providers, with some countries pushing for less restriction when analysing users’ data, reports Mobile World Live. |
