Update to GP Registrar Subsidy PolicyThere has been an update to the required documentation under the GP registrar subsidy policy, effective 4 February. The updates see GP registrars using their own vehicle for a respite break, relocation or course travel (where applicable), reimbursed travel costs based on a set rate for each kilometre travelled as defined by ATO. As evidence, the GP Registrar must provide fuel receipts that correlate to the journey: payment will not occur without the substantiation. A further update to the policy: if GP registrars are cohabiting, only one can claim for rental and/or internet subsidy, not both. GP Registrars should review the updated policy and make themselves familiar of eligibility criteria, time frames for submission of claims, and required supporting evidence for claims. If you are unsure if you are eligible after reading the policy, contact registrar@ntgpe.org to seek clarification prior to incurring any costs. ![]() Make sure your ALS and CPR certs are up to dateRegistrars sitting the 2019.1 exam cycle and expected to complete their training time at the end of the 2019.1 term (4 August 2019) are reminded to ensure they have a current ALS and CPR certification to meet RACGP requirements for fellowship.
