Business news and information for Warrington Business Exchange members No images? Click here August 2020 Newsletter Hi everyone Despite it being August - the holiday month - it has still been busy on the networking Zoom calls with the Business Exchange and other networking groups, all of which have been really interesting. Here are just a few I enjoyed: Warrington Central Business Club with Tony Longmore and Tony Maguire as the speaker; M62 Connections (this was funny when an attendee was writing notes and holding them up to the screen even though we could hear everything they were saying!); Andrea Newton's webinar on Mental Health (brilliant as always); My People Club where James talked about Belbin; The Outset with Siobhan Smith and Amanda Daniels-Allen talking about ‘the 4 steps to have the right mindset for marketing’; UBCUK with Kevin Riley ‘Begin with the end in mind’; and the Birchwood Park Wellbeing webinar. The Business Exchange guest speakers this month were Barry Millar from HSBC and Kerry Lockyer from Oomph Learning talking about Clarity4 Personality Profiling which was fascinating. But enjoyable as they are, I'm really looking forward to getting back to some face to face meetings when allowed. I joined two colleagues for dinner at the Pickering Arms earlier this month. We were all slightly anxious as to where we had to stand, sit, how to order and how to pay but it was fabulous to be out and the restaurant had done everything possible to try to keep everyone safe. The Eat Out to Help Out scheme seems to have worked well for the hospitality industry. So as we head into September, hopefully more business meetings will be permitted. Stay safe everyone and see you soon either on Zoom or hopefully in person
