The International Regulators’ Forum, hosted by the Mexican regulator, the IFT, saw regulators gather from around the world to discuss all aspects of the digital ecosystem and the regulatory opportunities and challenges it presents. The Week continued with our 49th Annual Conference, where senior figures from industry, academia and civil society joined regulators to add their perspectives to the issues discussed. Videos from the Annual Conference are now online, and you can view them either by following the links on the programme on our website, or by browsing them on the IIC’s YouTube Channel. A report of the Annual Conference will be made available in due course. Among the many topics discussed at the Conference was that of divides: digital, economic and gender. A video from the dedicated session on the topic can be viewed here. In this video with voiceover translation, María Cristina Cárdenas Peralta, General Coordinator @PRENDE.MX, Ministry of Public Education, Mexico, speaks about the Mexican experience. Tying in with the theme is this month’s open access InterMedia article examining the gender divide, as Adriana Labardini Inzunza asks Where Are We in Gender Equality?
