Dear Neighbor,
At Lift UP, we are preparing for the holiday season! After closing our pantry due to a maintenance emergency, Preston’s Pantry is open again and ensuring our neighbors have food.
We appreciate all of the support we received from our clients, volunteers, and community partners during the closure and maintenance repairs, especially the volunteers who braved the Portland weather on Fridays, distributing food to our neighbors rain or shine.
A special thank you goes out to William Temple House. Their team worked closely with ours to redistribute extra food and manage an increased number of shoppers during our closure.
It is circumstances like this that truly show how food brings us together.

Holiday Food and Fund Drive
Is your business, church, or school interested in partnering with Lift UP to gather food for our neighbors in need?
Host a Food and Fund Drive!
We have everything you need! We can provide the barrels and marketing materials- all you need to do is collect food!
Every bit counts, and cash donations are welcome. For every $5 raised, we’re able to provide 15 meals.

Delivered Food Box Survey Results
Last month, Lift UP conducted a survey among our neighbors who receive monthly Delivered Food Boxes. The results are in and we'd like to share them with you!
Below are few things we learned:
- Fresh foods are the best!
- The food we provide helps our community eat healthier!
- Our volunteers are friendly and helpful.
- People recommend Lift UP services to their neighbors and friends.
- Residents share the food they receive with the other people in their building.
We appreciate the feedback of everyone who participated, which helps Lift UP improve our programs and services, providing food for everyone who needs it in our growing community. Thank you for all of your support!
