Hi there,
And off we go. Everyone was saying, "work will ramp up after the long weekend in January”, and boy didn’t it. February has been full of surprises. A lot of jobs on the go, creativity peaking and The Creative Directory turning 10 years old. We’ve added a new section to the newsletter called Showstoppers, where we will be featuring fab campaigns we’ve seen out and about, along with all of our wonderful creatives work who are listed on the directory. We will also introduce you to new creatives along the way and hear from those that have worked with me on their folios and careers. Heres to a big, fantastic, healthy year for us all. Cheers Sally and Eliza
David Barker Talks Ngununggula Art Gallery This year we want to highlight some of the ads and campaigns that grabbed our attention for all right reasons. We loved the campaign for Ngununggula Art Gallery in N.S.W. and enjoyed talking to David Barker, Director of the Playground Group about the work. "Ngununggula is located halfway between Sydney and Canberra, which is quite a distance for even the most dedicated art lover. Australia’s newest
art gallery is definitely worth the hour and a half drive, but how could they convince people to make the effort? David Barker, Nick Garner, and the team at the Playground Group decided to show the journey as part of the experience. Their campaign demonstrates those who love great art will do whatever they can to get there. David Barker who wrote and directed the commercial wanted to achieve something that would excite and intrigue people."
10 Year Anniversary for
the Creative Directory
Here’s to 10 years of talking everyone up. I launched the Brownbill Effect with the Creative Directory in 2013 to add to the many other things I had been doing for the previous 10 years in the creative world up until then. The Creative Directory began as a
marketing tool for people who needed someone – specifically me - to talk them up. I started shouting out about them then, and I’ve been shouting ever since. The Brownbill Effect has since grown to be a lot more but I’m proud of the hand- picked talent who have made their mark on the Creative Directory, and I want to thank them all for being part of it. I’ve always loved working with creative people. For the past 10 years I’ve had the opportunity to meet some of the best – and help them network, find work and make the most of everything they have. Back then creatives didn’t tend to use social media for business networking, certainly not as much as they do today. These days I am part of their marketing plan for the year. They also enjoy being a member of the Directory’s creative community and I still find many people prefer having me advocate for them than doing it alone. The Creative Directory has grown into something special for me and for everyone who has joined it. This has been a great 10 years for the Brownbill Effect, and we all look forward to many more.
Recent work from
our Creatives
BIG EARS | AUDIO PRODUCTION
Kate Langbroek fronted this honest series on Channel 9 that sees single parents searching for love again. Unbeknown to them, each of their children had a hand in the process by guiding their parents through the twists and turns of dating today. The production company responsible for the show, ITV Australia, brought onboard Big Ears Audio to capture Kate's signature sound during her narration for this love-filled tale.
ALICIA MOODLEY | GRAPHIC DESIGNER
“Working at Big Red was a fantastic experience. I worked on the Coles account over 9 months, on print, digital, POS and OOH. This particular job was for Coles own brand Urban Coffee Culture and was part of a larger campaign that included a sampling activation which I also designed. Most of the briefs I worked on required, initial concept through to print ready artwork.” Marketing Manager: Andrea Michelle, Brand Manager - Women's Intimates: Jade Massaad, Assistant Brand Manager: Lou Lou Tebb, Product Stylist: Charlotte Davey & Francesca Alexander.

"My greatest desire has always been to work within environments that help me grow professionally (and personally). Workplaces that are challenging, engaging, and a good amount of fun! Sally has nailed the brief twice now. Her ability to hear what you do and don’t say to match you with the best job and place is a true gift. Once again I am indebted to her."
BOND SOFTWARE GROUP | EMPLOYER
"I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sally over the last few years to help find a diamond in the rough. Recruiting is tough at the best of times, Sally however, seems to have a unique knack of knowing just the right person via her amazing network. Even when sometime our job description was broad, she was able to find a match. No swiping left or right, just good quality conversations with a true professional who took the time to understand who we were looking for."

His work has appeared on an Australian ten dollar note, press and print campaigns and he is a regular with Australian Geographic.
