Thinking of extending to a fellowship in advanced rural general practice (FARGP)?If you are enrolled with RACGP and interested in undertaking the FARGP, NTGPE will reimburse your enrolment fee once you have successfully completed the fellowship. NTGPE will also provide you with funds towards a second emergency course as part of the FARGP requirement of two emergency courses. Contact your program manager to discuss and review NTGPE’s FARGP contract. GP registrar subsidy policy updateThe NTGPE GP registrar subsidy policy has been updated for the 2018 training year. The GP registrar subsidy policy relates to additional educational support and financial support opportunities for GP registrars who are working remotely throughout the NT. Please read the policy to be aware of what you can claim, timeframes for submission of claims and the supporting documentation you will need. Vorotek V Scopes available for loanThis is an optical device, which provides illumination and magnification and can assist with fine suturing, wound exploration, front of eye procedures, ENT examination and gynaecological procedures. The optics can be easily rotated in and out of use, returning back into the exact set up position every time. NTGPE recognition of prior learning (RPL) policy updateNTGPE’s RPL policy has been updated to be in line with the new RACGP RPL policy that came into effect on January 1, 2018 and is available on our website click here for the policy. It is important that GP registrars training towards both ACRRM and RACGP review the policy as there are key submission dates that must be adhered to.
