NEAS Advisory Council Meets at Conference

The NEAS Advisory Council provides invaluable advice and feedback to NEAS on the quality assurance needs of the ELICOS sector, and met again in May, immediately prior to the NEAS Conference.

Since its inception in 2014, the NEAS Advisory Council has been instrumental in the founding of many NEAS initiatives, and meets four times a year to deliberate on matters of import to the organisation and sector.

Patrick Pheasant is the NEAS Advisory Council Convenor with feedback from providers to the AC available through this link.  Your contributions provide an important opportunity for NEAS to improve its operations and value to the ELT sector!

NEAS Conference 2016 - A Big Thank You!

The dust has barely settled after the NEAS Conference and what else is there left to say other than "Thank You!" Indeed, the NEAS Board would especially like to thank:

Those that travelled from all corners of the world (and there were too many to mention!)

Our dedicated sponsors without whom this event could not have happened!

Our members whose commitment to quality makes this such a special industry

... and last but not least, the NEAS team and NEAS Advisory Council, who guided this event to a successful conclusion.

THANK YOU and see you NEXT YEAR!

NEAS Engages International Student Interns

NEAS likes to "walk the talk" when it comes to supporting quality in the English language teaching sector, including supporting employment experience opportunities for international students.

Starting in June, NEAS will be providing five domestic and international university students with an internship opportunity. The internships will specialise in mapping, developing and validating assessment, as well as marketing and digital communications.

The internships will last for around three months each and were sourced through a NEAS News Assessment Task Bank Update!

More NEAS Quality Endorsements for May!

Sarina Russo Institute has again passed its NEAS Quality Assurance assessment with flying colours!

Offering a wide variety of English programs which include Intensive General English, Unipath English 1 and Unipath English 2, Sarina Russo Institute language students are able to choose a program that suits individual needs.

Sarino Russo is part of a much wider group of education and employment interventions, yet manages to retain the unique cultural feel of an ELICOS centre!

Congratulations to Dr Lillian Myers and team for creating a truly innovative English language learning programme at Citipointe Christian College in Brisbane and for being an outstanding example of what NEAS Quality Endorsement seeks to celebrate!

Check out their programme by clicking here - much of their work is well worth emulating!
