Velocity Post Processing - Part II

Did you know that EFDC_Explorer has a Downstream Velocity Projection feature?  This feature allows the user to specify an orientation angle (degrees clockwise from north, looking downstream) in order to plot velocity magnitude of the upstream and downstream flow during the EE data extraction. It is accessed by RMC when the Velocities viewing option is selected as shown in below:

 
 

If the user has selected All Layers in the Layer Settings then the user can optionally plot the average current velocity for all or part of the water column. This feature is primarily used in cases where the depth below the surface of the measuring device is known, and an exact comparison of model results with the measured data is required. For the All Layers settings EE will provide a popup box.
