Click here For the past few years, the School of Dentistry Communications team has developed an annual community report for the purpose of reaching out to a general public audience to raise awareness of important oral health topics. The publication is meant to be an awareness and education piece. We offer printed copies upon request should you want to make it available to your patients as reading material by placing it in your waiting area. It is NOT intended to promote the treatment services of the School of Dentistry. If you have any questions about this mail-out, I would be more than happy to hear from you. I can be reached by phone at 780-492-3312 or by email major@ualberta.ca. I hope we can work together now and in the future on creating healthier Albertans. Latest edition of our Community Report is now availableOur latest edition of UAlberta SMILES is now online! A wide range of educational topics - teeth whitening, oral cancer, mouthguards, tongue-tie, passing cavities to your kids and other oral health information - are covered in this edition. Celebration of LifeAs you may know, Dr. Ken Glover passed away last December. Ken was a great friend and mentor to the School of Dentistry. Ken played a major role in the School and was an integral part of the Orthodontic Program. We wish to honour Ken’s commitment and contributions as a practicing dentist, orthodontist, educator, administrator and dutiful citizen of the Canadian dental health community by hosting a celebration of his life and legacy. There will be a celebration of Dr. Glover's life on September 14th. We hope you can join us for this very special time where we will pay tribute to all of the wonderful things Ken has done for us. The celebration of life will begin at 5:30 PM at the Faculty Club, with a short program and reception. Please register here.
