Greenlight Guru, an Indianapolis-based software provider that helps medical device businesses navigate the regulatory approval process, has received over $120 million from growth investment firm JMI Equity. The company is also backed by Elevate Ventures.
RayzeBio Inc., a San Diego-based startup developing targeted radiopharmaceutical drugs for cancer, raised $108 million in Series C funding led by Venrock Healthcare Capital Partners. New investors Perceptive Advisors, Vivo Capital, Acuta Capital Partners, Deerfield Management and TCG Crossover also contributed to the round, alongside previous backers venBio Partners, Versant Ventures, Samsara BioCapital, Redmile Group, Viking Global Investors, Cormorant Asset Management, OrbiMed Advisors, LifeSci Venture Partners, Logos Capital, Alexandria Venture Investments and others.
Mnemo Therapeutics, a Paris-based startup creating immunotherapies for solid and blood cancers, completed a €75 million ($90 million) Series A round. Casdin Capital, Sofinnova Partners and an undisclosed investor co-led the funding, which included participation from Redmile Group, Emerson Collective and Alexandria Venture Investments.
HiFiBiO Therapeutics, a developer of drugs that harness the immune system’s ability to treat autoimmune disorders and cancer, closed a $75 million Series D round led by Mirae Asset Financial Group. Additional new investors including B Capital Group, Sherpa Healthcare Partners, Maison Capital, Trinity Innovation Fund, Grand Mount Capital and HKSTP Ventures also participated in the funding, along with existing backers IDG Capital, Sequoia Capital and Legend Star. Ryan Jeong from Mirae Asset Capital will join the company’s board. HiFiBiO is based in Cambridge, Mass., Paris and China.
Brightline, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based pediatric behavioral healthcare startup, is raising $72 million in Series B funding, including $7 million in debt. GV leads the investment, with participation from Optum Ventures, 7wireVentures and Gaingels. Returning investors include Oak HC/FT, Threshold Ventures, Blue Shield of California, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, SemperVirens Venture Capital and City Light Capital. Ben Robbins, venture partner at GV, will join the board.
Betterfly, a Chile-based life insurance benefits platform that rewards employees’ healthy habits, collected $60 million in Series B financing from partners of DST Global, QED Investors, Valor Capital, Endeavor Catalyst and the SoftBank Latin America Fund.
KAHR, a Jerusalem-based startup working on a treatment for solid and blood cancers, picked up a $46.5 million investment. Lead investor aMoon was joined by BVF Partners, Dafna Capital Management, Peregrine Ventures, Shavit Capital, Flerie Invest, Pavilion Capital and others in the round.
Sanity Group, a Berlin-based startup seeking to unlock the benefits of cannabis for health and wellbeing, secured $44.2 million in Series A financing led by Redalpine Venture Partners.
The Pill Club, a women’s healthcare startup, added $41.9 million in Series B funding. Base 10 led the round, which saw support from ACME Capital, GV, Shasta Ventures, VMG Partners and others.
R-Zero, a San Francisco-based intelligent disinfection platform, nabbed a $41.5 million Series B investment. World Innovation Lab led the round, with General Partner Rob Theis joining the board. DBL Partners, SOSV and HAX also contributed to the new funding.
VectorY Therapeutics, an Amsterdam-based startup developing gene therapies aimed at muscular and central nervous system disorders, was seeded with a €31 million ($37 million) investment from Forbion, BioGeneration Ventures and Eli Lilly & Co. The company also appointed Alexander Vos as chief executive and Sander van Deventer as chief technology officer. Mr. Vos was most recently at VarmX. Mr. van Deventer was previously executive vice president of research and product development at uniQure.
Brains Bioceutical Corp., a Vancouver-based cannabinoid active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturer, closed a $31.9 million funding round led by DSM Venturing.
Stork Club, a San Francisco-based maternity and fertility-care benefits provider to employees, raised $30 million in Series A funding. General Catalyst led the round, with Hemant Taneja joining the board. Bowery Capital, Slow Ventures and others also joined in the investment.
