Hello friends,

There's no excuse for violence or abuse at sports clubs. So when a parent, in their role as a supporter, coach or official, behaves poorly we need to be able to call it out. 

But what are the challenges for parents that lead to this behaviour? Julia Walsh's article Parents, can’t live with them, can’t live without them! digs a bit deeper and gives sports clubs tips that focus on improving the sports club experience for parents. 

We're also kick-starting a new series of monthly journals written by Patrick Skene called Sport at the crossroads. Each month we'll focus on a different sports code, providing insights into how sports clubs and associations are tackling the abuse of officials. This month our focus is on 'the world game', football.
