Quality Assurance in the ELT Value Chain comes to Brisbane

Join NEAS Chief Executive Mark Raven as he explores Quality Assurance in the ELT Value Chain.

The theory of Value Chain is based on a process view of ELT centres with the idea of seeing a service organisation as a system with inputs, transformative processes and outputs.  Mark will demonstrate how each part of the chain adds value to your ELT centre and how a quality assurance approach can be integrated in to the design of the value chain and contribute to a profitable outcome.

Introducing Clare McDowell's Strategies for Teaching IELTS Writing

Teachers often comment that writing is the hardest IELTS skill to tackle.  Possibly because the test-takers are looking for a quick fix rather than adopting a systematic process aimed at building up the skills needed to produce an appropriate and accurate response to an IELTS task.

Clare's experience and insights, developed over 30 years of ELT practice, will guide participants through the basic testing principles underpinning the IELTS writing test and examine scripts to see where the key problems lie at a range of levels.

Participants will leave with a range of useful strategies.
