NOTICE:

Late arrival to school results in interruptions to the learning process. Parents are encouraged to have students to school on time. All parents must come in to the office to sign-in any student who arrives too late to be in class when the gates and classroom doors are closed at 8:30am. All children need to be signed in using our new electronic system, which will change the class register to show that they are on school premises.  Drop-offs are not permitted.

*Excessive tardiness to school may be referred to the Local Authority for action and possible court referral.

Grit Certificate Winners

Congratulations to Monet for winning the attendance cup with 80.4% (even in the frozen, snowy weather!)  This week we recognised children who demonstrated our attribute of Grit, trying hard when faced with challenges and never giving up!

Leah, Emre, Dreden, Shifah, Shahan, Sabrina, Shada, Surya, Amir, Eshaal and Maja

(some classes were at our author's workshop during celebration assembly this week)

The Droves

Well done to Kayja (Year 4) who recently had a starring role in the play 'The Droves'.  'The Droves' is an immersive theatre show, designed by kids, for adults and produced by BAFTA award winning company Coney.  Kayja was able to showcase her professionalism and eloquence in this production, proving to be a great ambassador for School 21!

Time for Fraction!

Year 4 have been applying their knowledge of fractions to decimals this week and have been finding equivalent decimal numbers and fractions. It’s been great to see children remembering how to simplify fractions! The Year 4’s have also been busy writing the final drafts of their spark speeches to earn their eloquence patch towards their graduation at the end of the year.

World Book Day

Last week Reception had an amazing day dressing up for World Book Day. We loved coming to school as our favourite characters and enjoyed having the chance to share some stories with children in Year 5.

Royal Observatory Greenwich

De Coubertin class had a fantastic time on their trip to Greenwich Observatory on Tuesday this week. We really enjoyed seeing the exhibitions in the observatory and used our imagination role-playing a journey to the moon. Thanks again to all the parents who came and helped us on the trip!

#wewillmakeachange

Year 1's recycling campaign is fully underway! They have been creating placards which are to be shared at the Stratford Centre next week. The placards hold important environmental messages regarding recycling our waste and stopping the use of plastic. #wewillmakeachange
