Cato Networks Raises $359 Million in Late-Stage Round

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul signed legislation Friday that requires local governments in the state to notify the state’s Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services within 72 hours of a hack. They must also report any ransom payments made to hackers within 24 hours. Read our full story.

United Natural Foods, the main distributor to grocery chain Whole Foods Market, is bracing for a material financial hit from a cyberattack detected June 5. Sales went down and operational costs went up as the company saw tech outages over several days in June.

Canada told China's Hikvision to stop doing business in the country. The Chinese company, which makes surveillance cameras and other electronics, is a threat to Canada's national security, according to Canadian Industry Minister Melanie Joly, citing a recent government review. (Bloomberg)
