Your generous donation can make an impact on someone experiencing homelessness. Cooks River Fun Run The Cooks River Fun Run’s 10th birthday went off with a bang last Sunday! School Holiday Program The school holidays are just around the corner! Get ahead of the curve and register your little ones into a couple of Strathfield Library’s July School Holiday activities, which feature a fun and exciting dinosaur theme. Make Strathfield Beautiful The next Bushcare Group is meeting at Maria Reserve on Saturday 6 July, 9am-12pm. Bushcare is an environmental restoration program that aims to improve the local habitat for native animals. To find out more about Bushcare or to join a team, call Council on 9748 9999. Waste Collection Date Changes Starting Monday 1 July 2019, changes will be made to waste collection services in some locations throughout the Strathfield LGA. Please note that not all properties will be affected and Council have notified residents who will be experiencing a change in collection dates. If you are unsure if your property is affected, please click on the link below. Council is Lending a Hand to Community Groups As part of Council’s initiative to support local community groups, applications for the yearly Community Grant and Community Event Grant Programs are now . Recognising that many local organisations are run by volunteers, Council will be accepting applications through to Wednesday 31 July 2019. Child Car Seat Safety is a Priority Council was pleased to have welcomed 52 residents at its latest Child Restraint Fitting Day last Saturday! Parents who came for a free inspection by an Authorised Restraint Fitter improved their knowledge about child car seat safety. Keep your eyes peeled for the next free session!
