Coronavirus Updates and Resources
SLSNSW has updated key sections of its Coronavirus webpage with new advice and resources including updated COVID Safety Plan templates specifically contextualized for Surf Life Saving.
A reminder that as of 1 August 2020, all gyms and fitness studios need to have a COVID-19 Safe Hygiene Marshall on the premises at all times.

Blackroll Activation and Recovery Series
The BLACKROLL and Surf Life Saving NSW Activation and Recovery Series is here to teach surf lifesavers the benefits of rolling and trigger work using rollers, balls and bands. This week BLACKROLL Australia have prescribed the perfect set of exercises for Nippers.

Rowing Australia Joins 16 Surf Life Saving Clubs for 24 Hour Row
After the success of the Avalon Beach 24 Hour Row over the past two years, the event is expanding in 2020 with a total of 16 Surf Life Saving Clubs, gyms and Rowing Australia signing on to row and raise money and awareness for mental health charities Gotcha4Life and One Eighty from Midday Saturday 22 through to Midday Sunday 23 August.
Grants & Fundraising
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.

Collect Containers For Your Club
If your Club is registered with Envirobank you can continue to raise money for your club during the off-peak season! Envirobank supplies clubs with collection bags that members can take home and return once filled with containers. If your club requires additional collection bags, contact Ash via email at acooper@envirobank.com.au or phone 0499 221 521.

Australian Lifeguard Service NSW - Recruitment Now Open!
With over 350 positions available across 90 locations, the ALS is encouraging surf lifesavers to apply as a means of offering local employment, building stronger relationships with clubs and providing opportunities for club members to develop leadership and lifesaving skills as:
- Lifeguard Supervisors
- Seasonal Lifeguards
- Casual Lifeguards.
Returning 2019/20 lifeguards must reapply online with their user number and password. To ensure your application is registered please follow the instructions on the Become a Lifeguard page of the Australian Lifeguard Service NSW website.
