Mātauranga Capability Fund openThe 2018 Te Pūnaha Hihiko - Vision Mātauranga Capability Fund investment round has now opened. The deadline for proposals is 5 April. See details here>> The Fund, which was established by Hīkina Whakatutuki (Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment) to grow skills and capacity for Māori participation in science and innovation and support outcomes that benefit New Zealand. Long Term Plans 2018-28Submissions on Toi Moana Bay of Plenty Regional Council’s Long Term Plan 2018-28 closed 19 March. As at Tuesday morning, 225 submissions have been received with a few late submissions expected in the next few days. Public hearings will be held on 16-20 April. The plan outlines Council’s planned work and spending for 2018-28. Anyone who made a submission and had asked to present at hearings will be contacted directly with more details about that. After hearings, Council will hold deliberations in May, and a final Long Term Plan 2018-2028 will be adopted by 30 June. Many of our local district and city councils are now also calling for public submissions on their Long Term Plans:
