Update from the team at Converte

2021 is off to a good start with strong harvest data across Australia in both the western and eastern states.   The good 2020 results will allow farmers to invest further in their businesses in 2021 and we encourage farmers to invest in farm planning for long term resilience.

Despite the difficulties with travel we continue to grow the business and are actively recruiting staff to grow the Converte team in 2021.   We continue to work closely with the University of Western Sydney and look forward to further collaboration including student placements in 2021.

Our trial results from late in 2020 are in, and we have excellent results with our trials on cannabis and on the humble lettuce - see more below.  We also trials underway on Cotton and are planning trials on almonds and rice commencing in the coming months.  Our focus is always through the entire food chain and following the benefits of improved soil and plant health into end consumer products.

Despite COVID the next few months will be an exciting time for us and for farmers across the country.   The outlook for 2021 is good with extra moisture around and we are excited to be offering our services and range of products to the farming community.   We look forward to working with you this year and hopefully a return to farmers field days and elbow bumps in the coming months.   Finally, if you haven't taken up our soil testing service give us a call, more details below.

Best Wishes to all & Stay Safe

Cannabis Trial Results - Smoking

Converte plantfood was applied at half dosage, and full dosage across 45 cuttings of the same variety.   The addition of Converte Plantfood resulted in:

•Higher absorption rate of N and P from soil;

•Improved plant growth across vegetative and mature plant life stages;

•Increase in plant height and width; and

•Greater number and length of root systems.

The good results are attributed to Converte facilitating greater absorption of potassium, nitrogen,  phosphorous, calcium, magnesium, and zinc which favours the development and filling of 2-Nirvana Cannabis flowers.   Converte Plantfood has improved soil conditions and mycorrhizal biota favouring the development of thicker, wider root development.  Converte Plantfood has also assisted the cultivation of anthocyanin proteins in the tested plants which has allowed for greater expression in plant flowering and increased protection from environmental factors such as extreme temperatures and pestilence.  More to come in this space, drop us an email for further information info@converte.com.au

Soil Testing and Evaluation

Converte’s mission is ‘to build food chain health from the soil up’.   To achieve this we produce products for seed, soil, plant and animal health.  Our products will help to optimise any system and get maximum efficiency from the existing conditions.

However, soil balancing is often necessary to improve soil performance and efficiency and we recommend regular soil testing.

Converte will sample your soils and test soil samples with independant labs for a range of chemical parameters under an Albrecht / Reams soil balancing test.  Our focus is primarly on:

Calcium base saturation;

Phosphorus in available and total forms;

Trace elements.

Our soil testing services are $165 per test including samplng and an interpretative report.

Call 1800 108 940 and book your soil test today.

Lettuce Trial Results - University of Western Sydney

The preliminary results are now out from our glasshouse trials utilising our Seed Primer and Plantfood.  These  trials are in controlled glass house conditions at the University of Western Sydney.  The trial tested both well watered and partial drought  conditions and high and moderate fertiliser rates compared to a range of Converte treatments with our Seed Primer and Universal Natural Plantfood. Key Findings are:

Under drought conditions the addition of seed primer and plantfood resulted in increased leaf growth compared to chemical fertiliser and the control;

Plantfood, seed primer individually and combined increased shoot weight and biomass when combined with 50% chemical fertiliser compared to 100% chemical fertiliser only;

Plantfood, seed primer individually and combined increased root biomass compared to fertiliser only treatments.

Final tests are being run on nutrient density prior to publishing, keep an eye out on our web site for further updates and full trial results.

Focus on Gut Health

The latest science links our gut health with our mental health as well as our physical health.  It's a topic close to our hearts at Converte because we are passionate about the health of the food chain and the linkages within agriculture.  Gut health is easily compromised by exposure to chemicals in the environment, agricultural chemicals and the use of antibiotics. The first sign of compromised gut health is inflammation.

The gut is the bodies main line of defence, hence a compromised or leaky gut is cause for concern.   Cell Charge works on the cellular communication in the gut facilitating the repar of cell walls and protein junctions.  A few drops a day in distilled or mineral water of this fulvic based plant product with high levels of polyphenols, flavanoids, amino and organic acids and your body will thank you.  For more information or to order just jump online at:

Animal Wellbeing Update

Trials of the Animal wellbeing on lambs in WA reported some interesting results late last year.  50% of the lambs were treated with the Animal Well being at the prescribed rate of 20ml / month.  the other 50% were left untreated.  There was no noticeable weight differences, however post weaning deaths and fly strike were only recorded in the non-treated mob.

This requires further study.  Is the animal well being lifting general resilience and immunity? - sure that is what it is designed to do.  But is there a hormone or scent related effect that eliminates fly strike?  More study required but it appears that plants and animals treated with Converte are less susceptible to disease.
