All you need to know about Fall Fellowship. No Images? Click here Fall Fellowship is this weekend at Cherokee Scout Reservation, but what is Fall Fellowship exactly? Fall Fellowship is an opportunity to celebrate our lodge’s accomplishments over the past year and look ahead to the new year. Unlike Induction weekends, Fall Fellowship is entirely fun. Saturday is filled with fun activities, followed by a banquet held to recognize our accomplishments and everyone who made them possible. The Saturday night banquet is also where we hand out the First Year Arrowman Award. This year, the theme of Fall Fellowship is Mountain man, so the activities will be related to frontier life. You can register today and join us for Fall Fellowship by following the link below. The cost for the weekend is $25 and includes 5 meals, cracker barrels and all the activities. There are a lot of interesting activities happening at Fall Fellowship. One of those activities is a three-gun shoot. Each chapter will have a chance to complete the three-gun shoot and compete with the other chapters. In order to participate in the three-gun shoot, you must participate in the safety briefing on Friday night. In addition to the three gun shoot, every chapter will have the chance to participate in tomahawk and knife throwing in competition with other chapters. May the best chapter win! When you aren’t shooting or throwing, there are also plenty of other activities. In the Dining Hall, there will be American Indian crafts; learn how to make an OA dangle, bear claw necklace, or drumstick from members of our lodge AIA team. If you head over to the OA Lodge, our lodge drum team can teach you the basics of Native American singing and drumming. Just below the OA Lodge, in the OA museum, you can learn about patch trading. There will also be a two-man crosscut saw where you and a friend can see how fast you to cut a log. Following all the activities, we will have a patch auction in the OA Lodge. And after the banquet and cracker barrel, there will be a Pow Wow at the OA Lodge, where you can learn more about AIA. Do you have what it takes to be Tsoiotsi Tsogalii’s cast iron chef? At Saturday night cracker barrel, there will be a dutch oven competition. So, bring out your ovens and best recipes to display for everyone to try. We will provide the charcoal, but you have to provide everything else. Preparation will happen before the banquet and cooking will happen during, but don’t worry, there will be someone supervising the cooking. In order to enter the competition and submit a dish, please click the link below and fill out the form.
