EVOLVE is designed especially to support and empower professional dancers to navigate their career transition. Find out more about EVOLVE and watch Lewis Landini's film from EVOLVE Glasgow.

Former Royal Ballet Principal Dancer, Jaimie Persson, and former Rambert and Richard Alston Dance Company dancer and independent artist, Jonathan Goddard, will be sharing their stories at EVOLVE London. Find out more about our speakers.

BBC Young Dancer Workshop

Dancers' Career Development are working in partnership with BBC Young Dancer Competition to provide aftercare to the finalists: Kieran Lai; Jacob O’Connell; Vidya Patel; Archie Sullivan; Harry Barnes and Competition winner Connor Scott.

In addition to individual coaching support, the dancers will participate in a special EVOLVE workshop on Friday 18th September, where they will be joined by former Royal Ballet dancer, Michael Stojko, and Rambert dancer, Dane Hurst, who will kindly be sharing insights into their careers in dance.

The partnership aims to support the dancers to investigate and realise their potential and to explore, share, dare and dream about their future.

Annual Company Visits

During August, DCD's Executive Director, Jennifer Curry, and Grants and Careers Officer, Ellen Chambers, visited many of DCD's Contributing Companies.

We had the pleasure of visiting The Royal Ballet, Rambert, English National Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet to update dancers and staff on DCD's support and developments.

I left feeling more at peace about the future.

We were joined by DCD Retrained Dancers, Farooq Chaudhry, Nelson Fernandez OBE, Vladislav Bubnov and Tony Norman-Wright, who all kindly shared their stories and insights into career transition. Thank you!

We visited Northern Ballet in July and look forward to visiting Richard Alston Dance Company on Friday 11th September.

If you'd like to arrange a DCD visit to your company, please contact us.
