Road WorksYou may have recently noticed night road works taking place on Homebush Road between Liverpool Road and Dean Street. This project was funded by the Federal Government under the Roads to Recovery Program to ensure safety and longevity of roads in order to better service the community. Bressington Park UpdateWork continues to power along at Bressington Park with the blockwork to the new amenities building almost complete. Trees have been added to the new car park and work is underway on the remaining playing fields and steps to the top playing field. Throwback ThursdayThe Boulevarde StrathfieldLong before Strathfield earned its current name, it was known as Redmyre and was described as a “pretty suburb”, “looking so fresh and healthy” with plenty of green foliage and planted with trees.
