What is a "Short Bolt" sale?
Each summer, we contract with QT Fabrics to supply us with hundreds and hundreds of "short" bolts of fabric. This means that most bolts hold 5 yards of fabric or less.
Historically, this was a great way to the QT warehouse to offload their smaller bolts from the ends of fabric runs that would be too small to send to shops in a new fabric order. It was a win-win-win: they had a way to sell their short bolts, we got to offer them to you, and you got first-run bolted yardage at a terrific price!
Now that QT has switched to 100% digital printing, they can more closely estimate their demand and create smaller runs of fabric that finish more precisely with more full bolts.
We are very lucky, because the fine folks at QT Fabrics have agreed to "manufacture" short bolts just for our sale! This year's sale will even include many 1-2 yard bolts, as well as brand new fabrics that may not have been shipped to shops yet! We have 4,001 yards of premium quality quilting cotton for this year's sale, and the best part...
All of the fabric is priced at
$6.99 per yard!
This Thursday is when it starts - favorite bolts go very quickly! The sale will continue in the shop for about 2 weeks.

Longarm Quilting Updates
We are excited to welcome our two new Longarm Machines, soon to be named! Our 15-year-old machines Wilma and Betty went for spa treatments recently, but they both needed replacement parts that weren't easy to source any longer (isn't this true for all of us as we age!), so we are letting them retire and welcoming in our new machines.
We offer appointments with our talented longarm quilting team of Linda, Katherine, and Christy, and new staff member Tami.
We are currently accepting orders for late September completions.
Summer note: As there may not always be a member of our longarm team in the shop during shop hours, we highly recommend an appointment!
