Strathfield Takes the Cake

Food lovers will be pleased to know that eateries in the Strathfield LGA have achieved an outstanding 81% of 3 or more Scores on Doors stars! This means you can have peace of mind when dining out that your food has been prepared in line with Australian Food Safety Standards. Thank you to all participating restaurants and cafes. Strathfield Making a Difference

Almost 100 large garbage bags filled to the brim with warm blankets, linen, coats and jackets were packed and sent this week to partner charities St Merkorious and St Pauls Burwood! These fantastic organisations will distribute the items to people experiencing homelessness.

Library Lockers

Council is improving the way you access library services. New locker systems will be installed soon where customers will be able to collect and drop off books 24/7, after ordering them online. More information will be released in the months to come and all library customers will be kept up to date on all changes.

Walking the Walk

Council have recently fixed up the footpath on The Boulevarde and Liverpool Road. Thank you to those who worked diligently on this project!

New ID requirements for animal welfare

The NSW Government has introduced a new law for pet owners selling or giving away their cats or dogs. From 1 July 2019, owners are required to include an identification number in all advertisements.  The changes will assist potential pet owners to make an informed decision about the dogs or cats they are buying.
