SANORD Symposium progrmme is available online

SANORD together with Karlstad University, Sweden, the host, welcome all the delegates to come to the SANORD Symposium 2014 at Karlstad University. The Symposium will officially kick off at the welcoming reception in the evening of 10 June. 2015-2016 SANORD Vice Chairperson and Board Elections

The 2015-2016 SANORD Vice Chairperson and Board members elections is officially underway. The current term of office of the Chair, Vice Chair and Board members expire in December 2014. In accordance with the SANORD Statute the SANORD Council (all SANORD members) must hold an election to fill the positions that will become vacant as of 1 January 2015 – 31 December 2016. Professors Per Assmo and Åsa Danielsson of LiU spent four weeks at Rhodes University as part of the second year of the three-year exchange programme (2013-2015) between Rhodes and Linköping University. The Welgegund atmospheric measurement station, located approximately 100 km west of Johannesburg (Gauteng) metropolitan area in South Africa, is operated jointly by the North-West University (NWU, Potchefstroom campus), the University of Helsinki (UH) and the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI). South Africa's drive to create a competitive and food secure state was boosted on Tuesday, 15 April, with the launch of the Department of Science and Technology (DST)-National Research Foundation (NRF) Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Food Security at the University of the Western Cape (UWC).
