As reported in the Chronicle, River Café
on the Tyne in North Shields now has a familiar TV face on its team!A Masterchef: The Professionals 2013 semi-finalist has joined the team at River Café on the Tyne in North Shields. David Garlinge
has more than 10 years experience in the restaurant industry. He was a semi-finalist in Masterchef: The Professionals 2013, as well as having worked with notable chefs including Gordon Ramsay and Jason Atherton at Maze and Pollen Street Social in London, North East favourites The Raby Hunt and The Orangery at Rockcliffe Hall, and most recently Houndgate Townhouse in Darlington. “I was looking for a new challenge and River Café on the Tyne appealed to me – not just
because of the fact that they are a four-times Michelin Bib Gourmand Award winning restaurant or because of their stunning location looking out over the mouth of the Tyne – but also because of their commitment to building their seasonal menu around the freshest produce available which is something I am very passionate about,” said David. “I’m looking forward to putting my own stamp on what is obviously a very successful business, and hopefully providing the loyal clientele, as well as new customers, with something a bit different including examples of the amazing produce that the rest of the world has to offer.”
