What in the world is a virtual career and externship fair?
Did you know that VetCAN (the professional association of career advisors at Schools or Colleges of Veterinary Medicine) is hosting a Virtual Career & Externship Fair in
March? This is a unique and first-of-its-kind opportunity for DVM students and alumni to connect with organizations interested in hiring for post-graduate and externship positions. Any DVM graduate or student can register as a job seeker and access multiple organizations interested in hiring.

Student Tip - Emotional Intelligence
Have you ever been so swept away in the heat of the moment that you said or did something that you later regretted? If so, you are definitely not alone. "Emotional intelligence," or a set of skills that includes controlling one's impulses, self-motivation, empathy, and social competence in interpersonal relationships is a skill set you can build and grow. This is becoming an increasingly popular topic in psychology and employers are looking for applicants who possess such skills.
