Umoja Biopharma Inc., a Seattle-based startup developing immunotherapies for the treatment of solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, completed an oversubscribed $210 million Series B round co-led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Cormorant Asset Management. New investors including RTW Investments, Temasek Holdings, Presight Capital and Caas Capital also participated in the funding, alongside existing backers MPM Capital, DCVC Bio, Qiming Venture Partners USA, Casdin Capital, Emerson Collective and Alexandria Venture Investments.
Apna, an Indian professional networking and jobs platform, landed $70 million in Series B funding, valuing the company at $570 million. Lead investors Insight Partners and Tiger Global Management were joined by Sequoia Capital India, Lightspeed India Partners, Greenoaks Capital and Rocketship.vc in the round.
Imply Data Inc., a Burlingame, Calif.-based multicloud data platform, closed a $70 million Series C round at a $700 million valuation. Bessemer Venture Partners led the investment, which included contributions from Tiger Global Management, Andreessen Horowitz, Khosla Ventures and Geodesic Capital.
Templafy, a Copenhagen-based startup whose technology connects all company content across any enterprise tech stack, fetched a $60 million investment. Blue Cloud Ventures led the round, which saw participation from Insight Partners, Seed Capital, Dawn Capital and Damgaard Co.
Tractable Ltd., a London-based AI company helping insurers with accident and disaster recovery, nabbed a $60 million Series D investment, bringing the company’s valuation to $1 billion. Insight Partners and Georgian co-led the round.
Unit, a New York- and Tel Aviv-based banking-as-a-service startup, snagged a $51 million Series B investment. Accel led the round, which included participation from Better Tomorrow Ventures, Aleph, Flourish Ventures and TLV Partners.
Duda, a professional website builder for digital agencies and SaaS companies, raised $50 million in Series D funding from Claridge Israel, Susquehanna Growth Equity and Vintage Investment Partners.
LENZ Therapeutics, a San Diego-based startup that is working on an eye drop designed to restore the loss of near vision associated with presbyopia, emerged from stealth mode with $47 million in Series A funding from Versant Ventures and RA Capital Management.
Novo, a small-business banking platform, raised $40.7 million in Series A funding. Valar Ventures led the round, which included participation from Crosslink Capital, Rainfall Ventures, Red Sea Ventures and BoxGroup.
Cypher Learning, a San Francisco-based producer of software used to manage digital, online and interactive courses and training materials, secured $40 million in growth equity from Invictus Growth Partners. Invictus co-founder and managing partner John DeLoche will join the company’s board.
Nuevocor, a Singapore-based startup developing gene therapies for cardiomyopathies, completed an oversubscribed $24 million Series A financing round. EVX Ventures and Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund co-led the investment, which included support from EDBI, Xora Innovation, Seeds Capital and others.
