Relativity Space, a Long Beach, Calif.-based 3D printed rocket startup, landed $650 million in Series E funding. Fidelity Management & Research Co. led the investment, which saw participation from Baillie Gifford, funds and accounts managed by BlackRock, Centricus, Coatue Management, K5 Global, Tiger Global Management, Tribe Capital and others.
Brinqa, an Austin, Texas-based cyber risk management provider, picked up $110 million in growth capital from Insight Partners.
Embroker Inc., a San Francisco-based digital business insurance platform, raised a $100 million Series C round. FTV Capital led the funding, which included additional support from Hudson Structured Capital Management, Gaingels, Tola Capital, Canaan Partners, Bee Partners, Manulife Capital Ventures and MassMutual Ventures.
Waabi, a Toronto-based developer of self-driving technology, emerged from stealth with an $83.5 million Series A investment. Lead investor Khosla Ventures was joined by Uber, Radical Ventures, 8VC, Omers Ventures, BDC Capital and others in the round.
Zenoti, a Bellevue, Wash.-based provider of business management software for the spa and salon industry, added $80 million in Series D financing. TPG led the new investment, which brought the company’s valuation to nearly $1.5 billion. Advent International led a $160 million Series D tranche in December. Tiger Global Management, Norwest Venture Partners and Accel are also Zenoti backers.
Airbase Inc., a San Francisco-based spend management platform for small to midsize companies, snagged a $60 million Series B investment at a $600 million valuation. Menlo Ventures led the round, with additional participation by Craft Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, First Round Capital, Quiet Capital, Webb Investment Network and BoxGroup. Along with the new funding, Airbase hired Aneal Vallurupalli as chief financial officer. He joins the company from Mattermost. Matt Murphy, partner at Menlo Ventures, joined the Airbase board.
Pattern, a New York-based startup that acquires direct-to-consumer home-centric brands, secured $60 million in debt and equity capital, and closed its purchase of kitchen accessories brand GIR. Existing backers Kleiner Perkins, RRE Ventures and Primary Venture Partners were joined by Victory Park Capital, HOF Capital and RSE Ventures in the funding round.
Contentstack, a San Francisco-based content management startup, raised $57.5 million in Series B funding. Insight Partners led the round, which included participation from Illuminate Ventures, Gingerbread Capital and Georgian.
Credit Sesame Inc., a Mountain View, Calif.-based startup whose technology helps consumers achieve better financial health and stability, fetched $51 million in growth capital and closed its purchase of Zingo, a fintech software services startup. Investors in the round included Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan, Menlo Ventures, ATW Partners, IA Capital Group and Inventus Capital. Terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed.
Gideon Brothers, a Croatia-based provider of material handling robots, collected $31 million in Series A funding. Koch Disruptive Technologies led the investment, which saw additional contributions from DB Schenker, Prologis Ventures, Pentland Ventures and Rite-Hite.
Blockdaemon, a blockchain infrastructure platform, closed a $28 million Series A round. Greenspring Associates led the investment, which included support from Boldstart Ventures, Lerer Hippeau and Coinfund.
Collective Retreats, a Denver-based startup offering luxury outdoor accommodations, nabbed $23 million in Series C financing. Fireside Investments led the round, along with Outdoorsy and additional participation from Revolution's Rise of the Rest Seed Fund.
