Standigm Inc., a Seoul-based artificial intelligence drug discovery startup, closed a $44.5 million round co-led by SKS PE and Daishin Private Equity. New investors InterVest, KDB Bank, and Asset One also participated in the funding, along with existing backers Kakao Ventures, LB Investment, Atinum Investment, DSC Investment and Wonik Investment Partners. Standigm plans to go public on the Korea Exchange later this year.
Eco Inc., a digital wallet startup, grabbed over $26 million in funding. Lead investor a16z Crypto was joined by Founders Fund, Activant Capital, Coinbase Ventures and Slow Ventures in the round.
ChurnZero Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based customer success platform, secured $25 million in Series B financing. JMI Equity led the round, with General Partner Larry Contrella joining the company’s board. Baird Capital and Grotech Ventures also participated in the investment.
Seebo, a Tel Aviv-based startup that predicts and prevents production losses for manufacturers, raised $24 million in Series B funding. Vertex Ventures led the round, which included additional support from 10D, The Phoenix and Leumi Partners.
Fuzzy, a San Francisco-based petcare app, landed an $18 million Series B investment. Greycroft led the round, which included participation from Crosscut Ventures, Matrix Partners and Gaingels.
Dooly, a Vancouver-based startup that automatically syncs meeting notes for sales professionals, picked up $17 million in Series A funding. Addition led the new round, which included contributions from Boldstart Ventures, Battery Ventures, BoxGroup, Mantis, SV Angel and others. Ed Sim of Boldstart joins the board.
Minu, a Mexico-based startup that offers employees instant access to earned wages, snagged $14 million in Series A funding led by FinTech Collective. New investors including VEF, XYZ Ventures and FJ Labs also participated in the round, alongside previous backers QED Investors, Next Billion Ventures and Village Global. The new round includes $2.5 million in debt from Banco Sabadell Mexico.
Carisma Therapeutics Inc., a Philadelphia-based startup developing novel cancer therapeutics, added $12 million in Series B funding to close the round at $59 million. IP Group Inc., Penn Medicine and 4BIO Capital provided the new tranche, with investors including SymBiosis II, Solasta Ventures, AbbVie Ventures, HealthCap, Wellington Partners, TPG Biotech, Agent Capital and MRL Ventures Fund investing in the initial close in January.
FutureFuel.io, a New York-based student loan repayment platform, fetched a $10 million Series A1 round, bringing the Series A total to $21.6 million. UBS led the new funding, with participation from Aflac Ventures, Fiserv, Salesforce Ventures, Rethink Impact, Vulcan Capital, Breton, SixThirty and Impact Engine.
KetoNatural Pet Foods, a pet food startup, was seeded with a $2 million investment led by Corazon Capital.
Curio, a digital collectibles marketplace, closed a $1.2 million seed round. Future Perfect Ventures led the investment, which included contributions from A195 Capital, LongHash Ventures, Moonwhale Ventures and others.
