COVID-19 Updates March 23, 2020 - The DoBC President has asked all family doctors to help spread Dr. Henry’s message on self-isolation and social distancing. The Victoria and South Island Divisions sent out a joint news release today.
- The students from the Island Medical Program reached out to thank you and offer support with any public health, lab, or research needs as well as with child-care, pet-care and grocery aid (shopping, delivery). Please indicate your interest here and feel free to bring up other areas of support - they may be able to help.
- Pathways is setting up a public-facing virtual care directory with clinic and physician information around their virtual care supports such as links to clinic websites and online waiting rooms, and with instructions for patients with flu-like symptoms (e.g. call the clinic, go to a central assessment centre, or go to our online waiting room). To build on the existing information in Pathways, Pathways would like to collect family practice telehealth data. You can create your profile through this short one page survey here.
Pathways will make the data available asap to help unburden you from non-medical tasks.

- Island Health is preparing a regional COVID-19 Cohorting and Transfer Process. All physicians must call the Patient Transfer Network for Higher Level of Care transfers at 1-866-233-2337. More
