Questions about the Physician Master Agreement or Vote?

A tentative Physician Master Agreement has been reached between the Doctors of BC and the provincial government.  Member physicians have received details about this tentative agreement through a letter from the president of Doctors of BC. Physicians will participate in a ratification vote on this tentative agreement before the end of March. 

If physician members have questions or if they want to arrange an information session about the tentative agreement, please contact: negotiations@doctorsofbc.ca.

Fostering Resilience for Health Professionals

Drs. Mark Lau, R.Psych. and Andrea Grabovac, MD, FRCPC, both certified Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) teachers and MBCT Mentors of the UCSD Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute, will be teaching this 5 day retreat that focuses on training skills to cope with burnout and to increase resiliency.

Fostering Resilience for Health Professionals is a 5 day mindfulness-based retreat being held on May 31st - June 5, 2019 at Hollyhock on Cortes Island, BC. https://hollyhock.ca/p/753/fostering-resilience-for-health-professionals/

This opportunity is available to all registered health care clinicians, professionals and students, and their partners. The training provides detailed mindfulness meditation instructions, grounded in MBCT and Mindfulness integrated CBT principles, and addresses learning objectives such as developing mindfulness and equanimity at work and at home, and responding skillfully to warning signs of burnout.
