This year we had 33 runners from our school show up on a cold and rainy Saturday morning. Students from all grades ran one mile to reach their 26-mile mark after months of running in PE. Two students and four faculty members ran the 5K. Miss Dennis won 1st place in her age group and Mrs. Cahill (not pictured), won 2nd place in her age group. We are so proud of all of our runners! 3rd Grade Service Project The 3rd grade will be going to the Ronald McDonald House in mid April to turn in their pop-tabs and toiletries. Please remember to save travel-sized toiletries from hotels when you travel. Pop-tabs can be collected from a variety of food and drink cans. All collected items can be dropped off at the office or the 3rd grade classroom. For more information on the pop-tab recycling program for Ronald McDonald House, click HERE. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our OLV family! The donations of non-perishable food items this month greatly aided Oak Mountain Missions in re-stocking their pantry shelves. Thank you! 4th Grade Magic Show Our 4th grade class recently had a chance to show off their skills performing magic tricks as a culminating activity to one of the stories in their literature book. Many new tricks were learned and a good time was had by all. 5th Grade Science Fifth grade has been learning the scientific method. In this activity, they had to develop an experiment to test the absorbency of different brands of paper towels. After writing the procedures for the experiment, they had to carry it out.
