The Fluorite crystal optics on the KOWA TSN-88 are stunning.  You will see details on distant objects that simply can't be made out in other spotting scopes.  Its mechanical features and Japanese build quality are also unparalleled.

Celestron Luminos eyepieces are now in stock at BINTEL. These are ideal upgrades from the standard eyepieces that come with most telescopes. 

The 7mm Celestron Luminos is an easy upgrade for planetary viewing with Celestron SCT telescopes such at the StarSense Explore DX 5 and DX 6 as well as the Celestron NexStar 5SE and 6SE.  

Sky-Watcher AZ-Go2 Explorer range- Affordable, full GOTO computerised telescopes with Wi-Fi

A new range of telescopes from Sky-Watcher now in-store at BINTEL

Sky-Watcher has released a new range of telescopes that all feature their AZ-Go2 computerised mount.  These are controlled by the Sky-Watcher SynScan app your Apple iOS or Android device or an optional hand controller. 

All models feature full "GOTO" which means once a simple alignment is carried out, the telescope will automatically move to the astro object you select from the SynScan database and then track it for you.  

We feel these are excellent, affordable GOTO telescopes for serious beginners. There are a few different models in range. The DWARF II has new features on the way!

The team from DWARF Labs went live on YouTube earlier in this week to talk about new features on the way for their DWARF II Smart Telescope.  

You can watch the live video here. (it's a bit cheesy, but it shows the enthusiasm of the DWARF folks and is full of handy info.)

This new update is due before the end of the year and an open beta in the next few weeks. Some of the features it will add include:

• Major user interface update
• 1x1 Binning
• Massive update of the DWARF astro object database
• Solar time lapse imaging
• Plus more!

Some of the features also being worked on:

• Basic planetary imaging
• Auto-stitching of both daytime and night sky large panoramas

When released, this update will deliver new features to all DWARF II telescope, regardless of when it was purchased. 

The deluxe version of DWARF II Smart Telescope is proving popular with our customers and constantly arriving at BINTEL.

Still time to enter the 2023 BINTEL Astrophotography Competition- Open until the 15th of November

Quick reminder - the BINTEL Astrophotographer competition is open and entries close on the 15th of November. We've had some amazing submissions sent to us so far, with several folks telling us the competition has been a catalyst to learn more and hone their techniques. 

Even if you're just starting your astro imaging journey, enter the BINTEL competition. You might be producing better photos than you think!

Space News this week - Annular Eclipse in the USA

A "Ring of Fire" or annual eclipse occurred in the USA last weekend

Last weekend saw a rare annular Solar eclipse in the USA. 

This is where the Moon is in front of the Sun, but the distance between the Earth, the Moon and the Sun is not quite right to fully cover the Sun's disk as happens during total Solar Eclipse. This is the even more spectacular kind that will happen in the USA next year and pass right over BINTEL in 2028!
