From the Principal
Dear Collegiate Old Girls,
I was delighted to welcome so many Old Girls to our 125th Anniversary Celebration Concert on Saturday 2 September at the Federation Concert Hall in Hobart. Over 650 members of the Collegiate community joined together with close to 200 performers to mark this milestone in the School’s history. The highlight of the evening was the world premiere of the School’s newly commissioned work by renowned Australian choral composer, Mr Paul Jarman. This spectacular piece, aptly titled Set for Life, is certain to become an important part of the music repertoire at Collegiate. I extend special thanks to two Old Girls who travelled to Hobart to perform at the Anniversary Celebration Concert. Sonya Pigot (Class of 2015), who is currently studying at the Royal College of Music in London, and Miriam Handsworth, née Butler
(Class of 1990), who is currently living in Brisbane following an extended period as sub principal bassoonist with the Cypress State Orchestra. Both performances on Saturday evening were spectacular. I am grateful both women have maintained a strong connection to Collegiate and I look forward to following their future careers with interest.
Kind Regards, Mrs Judith Tudball
Principal

Brisbane and Melbourne Reunions
It is always a special occasion when Collegiate Old Girls come together.
At recent reunions in Brisbane and Melbourne, Principal Mrs Judith Tudball, met Old Girls who were entrepreneurs, theatre nurses, careers counsellors, marketing gurus, paediatricians, dietitians, lawyers, creative arts managers, public relations directors, accountants and business owners. The most touching occurrence was that several Old Girls brought their mothers, who are also Old Girls, along with them.
