Rescue of Four People Recognised with State Award
Off-duty surf lifesavers and lifeguards who stood up together to save four lives in a successful coordinated rescue effort on the Central Coast have been awarded the Surf Life Saving NSW Rescue of the Month award in recognition of their achievements.
Ducks All in a Row
This weekend will see the first IRB (Inflatable Rescue Boat) racing event hit the water in two years. With 300 surf lifesavers raring to go, it will be a highly competitive two days to kick off the 2021 Sharkskin NSW IRB Premiership Series.

National Volunteer Week: 17-23 May
Reconnect with your fellow lifesavers during National Volunteer Week and give them a wave of appreciation on social media. Upload a photo of you waving your appreciation using #NVW2021 and #mysurflife and we'll share them and your messages throughout the week.

Entries close Tuesday 15 June for the NSW Government Get Ready Community Award. The Award recognises and celebrates the work communities do to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters.
AMP Tomorrow Fund
Applications close 9 June 2021 for the AMP Tomorrow Fund. This year the AMP Tomorrow Fund is offering a total of $1 million in grants for individuals working to make a positive impact in any field in Australia. Funding of $5,000 to $100,000 is available and can be used for range of activities and expenses
Resilient Australia Awards 2021
Nominations close 3 June 2021 for the Resilient Australia Awards. Awards celebrate and promote initiatives that build whole of community resilience to disasters and emergencies around Australia, as well as images capturing resilience in action.

2021 NSW Pool Rescue Championships
SLSNSW is pleased to confirm that the 2021 NSW Pool Rescue Championships will be held at Peninsula Leisure Centre, Woy Woy on 16-18 July 2021. More information will be available on the event page soon.
24 Hour Row for Mental Health
The 24 Hour Row supporting Gotcha4Life is back for 2021. This year surf clubs are encouraged to join in the 24-hour event on 14-15 August. Sign your club up now to be part of the event. It's a great opportunity to engage your community ahead of the new season and anyone can participate.
Grants & Fundraising
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through the Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.
