While continuing our steady stream of new releases for various purposes, ITF is pleased to announce language extensions to our very popular Diodrum family with Diodrum Greek and Diodrum Cyrillic, our first releases in both scripts. Along with Diodrum Arabic, this makes the family our first foray into global scripts. We have also published a rounded version of our popular geometric sans Volte along with two new function driven families: Guide, designed with way-finding and signage systems in mind; and Alpinist, a highly stylized sans for editorial applications.

Volte Rounded adds five additional fonts to the popular Volte series. Volte Rounded is a geometric sans serif typeface with rounded stroke endings. These aren’t softened-up corners, but rather full-on sausage-style terminals. Aside from geometry, reduction is the biggest principle behind Volte Rounded’s design. Volte Rounded’s letterforms are low-contrast, even in the bolder weights

Alpinist is humanist sans with a small x-height optimised for magazine design and other editorial applications. The strokes of the letters have slightly rounded corners; this rounding is more apparent in the heavier weights. Alpinist’s numerals are proportional oldstyle figures. The capital letters are wide, which harmonises well with the long ascenders and descenders.

Guide is a humanist sans for use on traffic signs and wayfinding systems. The family’s four weights range from Regular to Bold and each has a companion italic. Guide’s italics have an 11° angle; the forms of the ‘a’, ‘b’, ‘e’, and ‘p’ are more dynamic in the italic fonts, like ‘true italic’ letters. Each font includes 20 arrow glyphs.

Diodrum Latin has proven to be one of ITF’s most-popular recent releases since it was first published in May 2015. This September, we are pleased to publish two follow-ups to our successful Diodrum series. In addition to Diodrum Latin and Diodrum Arabic, ITF now has Diodrum Cyrillic and Diodrum Greek on offer. Because of its multiple weights, versatile range, and formal style, Diodrum Cyrillic and Diodrum Greek are an excellent choice for usage in Corporate Design and UI/UX Design applications.
