SLDL August News

The SLDL office hopes to engage students, faculty, and staff in ways
that promote and develop an inclusive and diverse environment.
We oversee student clubs and the Graduate Student Council, promote student engagement, host events and workshops related to diversity and leadership, advise international students, promote mentorship, and manage health insurance enrollment. Uqhakamishelwano: The Arts Communicate and Connect

This month we are highlighting Yvonne Farrow, a Master’s Candidate in Arts Management! Farrow visited Cape Town, South Africa for a field study trip where she was inspired by many of the artists there. You can read more about Farrow's experience here. 

 
 

Amplifying Student Voices 

We are inspired by Yvonne Farrow and want to highlight your work! As a way to connect students within our large, learning community, we will be creating a quarterly issue, promoting and amplifying students' work. Send us your academic passions to student.life@cgu.edu.

Health Insurance

Domestic Student Waiver: September 6th
International Student Waiver: TBD

It's that time of the year again! If you are a domestic student enrolled in 6 units or more and already have insurance, please waive out of CGU insurance as soon as possible. Deadline to waive is September 6th. For international students, please wait patiently! We will email you the waive out date as soon as possible. 

 
 

Headcount

Elections are almost here! Are you registered to vote yet? If not, no worries! Click here to register. If you're already registered, great! Click here to pledge that you'll vote this November. If you're already registered, but your address is at your parent's or some other location that you are not able to go to on the day of election, then click here for an absentee ballot to vote remotely. Please do your patriotic duty and vote!

The deadline for club registration is coming up!! Be sure to register as soon as possible. Clubs who do not register September 11th will not be eligible for Fall 2020 funding.
