 December 2020

In this issue, we are humbled to be named a Champion of Good by the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre. Despite the challenges 2020 brought, we have launched an innovative virtual The MINDSET Challenge & Carnival 2020 to continue our fundraising efforts. Our Social Enterprise team has also been busy this festive period with curated Christmas gift packs for various Jardine companies. Also, check out the brand new look on MINDSET’s website and find out who are our JAs of the Quarters.

NVPC Champions of Good 2020

Jardine Matheson Group of companies and MINDSET were recently conferred as Champions of Good 2020 by the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) for the second time. Jardines and MINDSET were first named Champions of Good in 2018 for championing corporate philanthropy in Singapore. The Champions of Good programme recognises organisations that are exemplary in doing good and have also been a multiplier by engaging their partners and stakeholders on a collaborative journey. A total of 74 corporates were recognised in 2020’s edition. Read more via the Champions of Good Business Times Citation.

The Virtual MINDSET Challenge & Carnival 2020

The MINDSET Challenge & Carnival 2020

2020 has been a challenging time and the same applies to the organisation of our annual signature event, The MINDSET Challenge & Carnival (TMCC). Typically, TMCC involved racing up 33-floor Marina Bay Financial Centre, Tower 1 and a mega family carnival at The Lawn @ Marina Bay. For the first time, we are taking the event online, where participants can race at their convenience and challenge one of five famed peaks/buildings around the globe.

There are also attractive prizes worth over S$10,000 up for grabs, kudos to our main prize sponsors Raffles Quay Asset Management and By The Bay. Join us via www.themindsetchallengecarnival.com, race period from now till 13 December!

Santa's Social Workshop

With the festive season around the corner, our Social Enterprise team has been busy engaging various Jardine companies for festive giving to their employees. Gift packs were put together by clients from the Singapore Anglican Community Services through its sheltered workshop (akin to the famed Santa’s workshop). We would like to thank our Jardine companies, Starbucks Coffee, Hongkong Land, Jardine Engineering Corporation and Schindler Lifts for their support this festive season and going the extra mile in contributing to mental health.

Jardine Ambassador
of the Quarter

Congratulations to Eunice Yeo and Gernelle Tan who were recognised as Jardine Ambassadors of the Quarter! In addition to fulfilling their daily job responsibilities, our JAs never hesitate to go the extra mile to demonstrate their commitment to MINDSET.

Senior Operations Executive,
Dairy Farm Singapore

Juggling between studies and work, Eunice was initially hesitant coming on board the JAs Programme. However, through support from her superior, colleagues and fellow ambassadors, it helped her navigate what she thought might be challenging. She asks of prospective JAs, to “believe in yourself and jump right in, the experience and takeaways will far exceed your expectations and help you reach for new heights in life.”

Gernelle was no stranger to MINDSET nor the JAs Programme being surrounded with current term Jas or Friends of Ambassadors colleagues who actively share their experiences on the JA Programme. She was convinced to onboard the Programme to raise greater awareness about mental health issues and be a voice for those in recovery. She hopes to see more opportunities offered to persons-in-recovery so they can reintegrate in the workforce and continue to contribute to the society.
