What clubs or organizations are you involved in on-campus or in the college?

I have been involved in a number of organizations over the past year both in and outside the Haslam College of Business. More recently, I was a member of Mayuri, the competitive Indian dance team. I am currently the incoming president for NeXxus: Women in supply chain and a member of the Smith Global Leadership Scholar program. Being involved has given me a large network on campus and equipped me to be a more effective leader.

What advice would you give to a current business student?

Invest in technical skills like coding and data analysis. Your first role might not require querying databases with SQL or building scripts with Python, but even at a beginner level, these skills will give you a major advantage. There are many free online resources to learn these skills in your spare time, and they will open up new and unanticipated opportunities as your career progresses.

What is your favorite thing about campus or the Knoxville community? Why?

I truly enjoy the festive and welcoming atmosphere of UT Knoxville's campus and environment. As a dedicated Vol fan, I also enjoy attending sporting events and entertainment activities throughout campus. The City of Knoxville offers a very unique experience in relation to the series of festivals, concerts, and civic engagement opportunities that take place annually. The Dogwood Arts Festival, Kuumba Festival, Rossini Festival, and others come to mind when I think of entertaining and engaging community activities.

Marketing 350 with Professor Michelletto. She got to know us personally and was so nice and refreshing. She made class super fun with great examples and stories. That class was at 8 am, and I was excited for it every time.
